Lindenhurst Students Awarded For Exceptional Service

Lindenhurst High School ninth-grader Jarred Navarro was recognized as a Presidential Service Award Gold level recipient.

LINDENHURST, NY - From The Lindenhurst Union Free School District: Lindenhurst Union Free School District recently recognized 87 students with the prestigious Presidential Service Award, given to those who complete a minimum of 50 hours of community service.

The students were honored during a PTA council meeting at the Lindenhurst High School, and presented with a certificate, pin and a letter from the United States president written on official White House letterhead. Also in attendance at the ceremony were members of the district administration and several local politicians
and their representatives.

Thirty-nine students were recognized as Bronze Award recipients, 28 as Silver Award recipients and 20 students were recognized as Gold Award recipients. A special acknowledgement was granted to Lindenhurst students Kaitlin Solich (92.5 hours), Justyna Filipkowski (354 hours) and Jarred Navarro (649.5 hours),
who accumulated the greatest number of hours of service for their respective age groups.
