Lindenhurst Students Celebrate Being 100 Days Smarter
Students at the elementary level recognized the 100th day of school as a major milestone.
From Lindenhurst Schools: Throughout the Lindenhurst Union Free School District, students at the elementary level recognized the 100 th day of school as a major milestone. Students read books about the 100 th day of school, took part in myriad 100th day activities.
Some activities included exercising by taking 100 steps down the hall, creating projects made from 100 items and in some cases even dressing as a 100-year- old person. Second-grade students at West Gates Avenue Elementary schools took part in the 100 th day of school rodeo. Donning cowboy hats, boots and button downs, the students worked diligently at Western-themed English language arts and mathematics centers.
