Lindenhurst Students Share Prize Posters

Students were asked to either color or draw a picture based on the theme of fire safety.

From Lindenhurst Schools: Lindenhurst Union Free School District congratulates the 2018 winners of the annual fire safety poster contest, sponsored by the Lindenhurst Fire Department. Coordinated by firefighter Sarah Callahan, the annual contest invited all elementary students to participate.

Students were asked to either color or draw a picture based on the theme of fire safety. Submissions were then judged and grade-level winners from each school were chosen.

This year’s winners were :
 William Rall: (Photo 1) Carlos Collado, Brittany Alfaro, Maciej Lewicki and Brooke Perrini with Principal Farrah McKenna and firefighter Sarah Callahan. Absent from photo: third-grade winner Jazmyn Ortiz.
 Daniel Street: (Photo 2) Alex Kotyk, Roksana Prusinowska, William Davidson, Gabriella Sailer and Angelina Waskewicz with (back) firefighter Sarah Callahan, Director of Fine and Performing Arts Jon Trapani, Principal Linda Domanico and art teacher Alyssa Theodorellis.
