Lindenhurst Students Share Their Democratic Voice
A ceremony was held at the VFW Post in Lindenhurst honoring the students.
From Lindenhurst Schools: The Wade-Burns Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7279 recently recognized several students from the Lindenhurst Union Free School District for their written contributions to the 2017-18 VFW Voice of Democracy Essay Contests. The student essays reflected the themes, “America, Our Hope for the Future.”
A ceremony was held at the VFW Post in Lindenhurst honoring the students. Local politicians attended the event to applaud the students’ efforts as students were awarded with medals, certificates and monetary awards. Lindenhurst High School students Jack Burton and Efrain Laguna took second and third place, respectively, for the 2017-18 Voice of Democracy competition. The district congratulates all of these patriotic students.
