Lindenhurst Students Take Part In Valentines For Veterans

LINDENHURST, NY - From Lindenhurst Union Free School District: Students of the Lindenhurst Union Free School District recently took part in the Valentines for Veterans program.

Children were invited to decorate cards and add personal touches to their work in hopes of showing their support and offering their well-wishes for those brave servicemen and women who served the country.

Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre, who initiated the project, had her Community Relations Director, Lasheca Lewis, collect the cards to deliver them to the servicemen and women who live at the Long Island State Veterans Home.
