Man With 30 License Suspensions Arrested After Fatal Sunrise Highway Crash: Police
BREAKING: The 36-year-old struck and killed a pedestrian with his SUV Thursday evening, police say.

A Massapequa man was arrested on a felony charge after his SUV struck and killed a pedestrian on Sunrise Highway Thursday evening, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, 36-year-old Richard Turner was driving a 2003 Lexus RX 300 east on Sunrise Highway near Bayview Avenue when he struck a pedestrian at about 6:30 p.m.
The pedestrian, 38-year-old Fausto Rodriguez, of Copiague, was transported by Copiague Rescue to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation revealed that Turner had 30 license suspensions, police said. First Squad detectives charged Turner with first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Turner will be held overnight at First District Court in Central Islip Friday. The investigation is continuing.
