Man Arrested After LI Woman Buys $30K Ford F-150 On Social Media, Learns It's Stolen: Police
Police say the 2023 Ford F-150 was reported stolen in Alabama weeks before being sold to a Long Island resident.
NORTH LINDENHURST, NY — A Pennsylvania man has been accused of selling a stolen pickup truck to a North Lindenhurst resident after advertising the vehicle on social media, Suffolk County police said.
Yuriy Koghuch utilized social media to sell a 2023 Ford F-150 for $30,000 to a woman on November 12, 2025, according to police.

When the buyer later attempted to register the vehicle, she was informed that it had been reported stolen, police said. Authorities said the pickup truck had been reported stolen in Alabama on October 5, 2025.

Following an investigation by Property Auto Crime Unit detectives, Koghuch, 37, of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, was arrested in Brooklyn on Thursday, February 19, police said.
Koghuch was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, police said. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.
