Man Crushed To Death While Working On Van: SCPD

AMITYVILLE, NY - A Greenlawn man was killed while working underneath a motor vehicle in Amityville last week, according to Suffolk Police.

Michael Callejo, 59, was working under a 2001 Ford van at a Brown Avenue home on Friday at about 4:20 p.m. when the vehicle apparently slipped out of gear and crushed him, police said.

Callejo was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
