Man Robs Deer Park Bank After Failing to Rob Huntington Bank

The suspect left the Huntington bank empty handed and made demands at the Deer Park bank just 25 minutes later, police said.

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a Deer Park bank after police said he failed to rob a Huntington bank earlier in the day Tuesday.

According to authorities, the man entered People’s United Bank, located at 182 East Main St. in Huntington, and made many verbal demands for money at 11:51 a.m. The bank teller did not comply with his demands and the suspect fled the bank, police said.

The man then entered TD Bank, located at 2178 Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park, about 25 minutes later and made verbal demands for money, police said. This bank teller complied with his demands and police said the suspect then fled the bank.

The man is described as Hispanic, about 40 to 45 years old, 5-foot-7-inches tall, has a gray goatee and was wearing a white t-shirt, shorts and a red hat.
