New Eagle Scouts Revitalize 9/11 Memorial Garden

An Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony was recently held for Lindenhurst's Joseph and Joshua Reggi.

Town of Babylon Councilwoman Jackie Gordon and Councilman Tom Donnelly recently attended an Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony for brothers Joseph and Joshua Reggi of Lindenhurst. The Eagle Scout is the highest rank achieved in the Boy Scouts organization. Joseph and Joshua are members of Troop 183, and they spent a great deal of time on their Eagle Scout projects in revitalizing the 9/11 Memorial Garden at Fireman’s Park in Lindenhurst. Joseph built and installed twelve new birdhouses at the park, cleaned the grounds surrounding the lake and stream, and planted several bushes. Joshua power washed and stained the park’s bridge and planted butterfly bushes throughout the area.

Councilwoman Gordon and Councilman Donnelly presented Joseph and Joshua with an official Town of Babylon proclamation and congratulated them on their achievement.
