North Amityville Gas Station Robbed at Knifepoint

Police are searching for a man who robbed a North Amityville gas station at knifepoint on Sunday morning.

According to police, the man approached an attendant outside Mega Gas Station, located at 624 Broadway, displayed a knife and stole money from the employee’s pocket around 11:10 a.m.

The man fled in a silver, four-door Scion xB. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as black, between 30 and 40-years-old, approximately 6-foot and heavyset. He was wearing all black clothing with multi-colored sneakers, police said.
