Oct. 2: Students, Job Seekers to Attend Manufacturing Day in Farmingdale

Precipart will host Manufacturing Day on Fri., Oct. 2 to raise awareness of the manufacturing field and its many career opportunities.

Precipart will host students, job seekers and community members on “Manufacturing Day” on Friday, October 2, 2015, as part of an effort to draw greater attention to today’s manufacturing environment and the outstanding career opportunities in this field. Precipart is a global company engaged in the engineering, design and manufacture of high precision gears and motion control systems for the most recognized names in the medical, aerospace and industrial sectors.

There is an increasing demand for highly-skilled professionals in the manufacturing sector who can design, program and operate technology. Manufacturing Day is designed to introduce young people and others to the manufacturing sector and career opportunities, and demonstrate the contributions that manufacturing makes to the local economy.

Among the guests at the full-day event will be 9th and 10th graders from Wyandanch High School, who are studying Manufacturing as part of a P-Tech grant that will support their journey towards an Associate’s Degree from the New York City College of Technology. Also in attendance, students from the BOCES Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology.
