Outreach's 1st Annual John Brower, Jr. Foundation 5K Walk
Will Raise Funds and Awareness of those Struggling with Substance Abuse
Outreach and The John Brower, Jr. Foundation will hold the first 5K Walk at Jones Beach State Park to raise funds and awareness of substance abuse on Long Island. The event, organized by the parents and siblings of John Brower, Jr., who died of an opiate addiction at age 25 in 2014, will honor John’s memory.
All proceeds from the walk will benefit the expansion and enhancement of drug and alcohol treatment and training services at Outreach, a metro New York agency dedicated to helping teens and adults fight their drug and alcohol addictions. The 1st Annual Outreach John Brower, Jr. Foundation 5K Walk will be held at Jones Beach Field #5 on Saturday, October 10, 2015. Registration begins at 9:00 am and the walk begins at 10:00 am.
