Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Car In Amityville: SCPD
The 37-year-old woman was struck while crossing the street on Wednesday night.

AMITYVILLE, NY - A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in Amityville on Wednesday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Maria Zatarga-Fagan, 37, of Copiague was in front of 48 Montauk Highway when she tried to cross the roadway from south to north and was struck by an eastbound 2018 Jeep Wrangler at 8:35 p.m., police said.
She was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Jeep, 42-year-old Michael Nomikos, of West Babylon, was not injured, police said.
The Jeep was impounded for a safety check.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
