Police: Copiague Teen Punched, Robbed Man in Lindenhurst

A 19-year-old from Copiague faces a robbery charge following an incident in Lindenhurst Monday night, police said.

Police say Todd Barbarino punched a 20-year-old man and then robbed him of money and a phone on North Erie Avenue at about 10:20 p.m. Monday.

Barbarino was arrested in West Babylon a few hours later. Police say Barbarino and the victim “were known to each other.”

Barbarino was arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday. He is free on $100,000 bond and is due back in court on Friday.
