Suffolk police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing North Amityville teen who authorities say may be suffering from depression.
Izabella Alvarenga, 15, was last seen leaving her home on East Smith Street at 6 p.m. last Friday, police said.
"Her family fears she may hurt herself and would like to locate her," police said in the alert.
Alvarenga is described as a white Hispanic with long brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5-foot-1 and weighs 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black jacket with black shorts and blue slip-on shoes.
Police are asking anyone with information on Alvarenga's whereabouts to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
