Proposed 2020-2021 Budget To Be Discussed At Village Meeting
Lindenhurst will be hosting its first public hearing of the year on Tuesday night. The topic of discussion will be the new proposed budget.

LINDENHURST, NY - Lindenhurst Village officials will be discussing the proposed 2020-2021 budget during a meeting on Tuesday night. The public hearing will be held at Village Hall on 430 South Wellwood Avenue starting at 7:30 p.m.
Last year, the village approved a $14,347,985 budget for 2019-2020 fiscal year. This was an increase from the $13,3,488,025 budget approved the year before. This also came with a 4.95 percent increase for village taxes and charges.
The proposed 2020-2021 budget is available at the Office of the Village Administrator at Village Hall, where it may be inspected from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every weekday, except holidays.

This year, the proposed annual salary for each member of the Board of Trustees is $13,500 a year for Mayor Michael Lavorata and $8,500 a year for each of the four village trustees: Joan Masterson, Patrick Pichichero, Richard Renna and Maryann Weckerle.
In addition, as deputy mayor Weckerle shall also receive a stipend of $500 a year.
