LINDENHURST, NY - This past weekend was a wet one for some Lindenhurst residents.

Zirbes-Steinmetz said this was some of the worst flooding she has seen in a long time.
"We are finishing up on our house as part of the elevation and are three-fourths of the way there," Zirbes-Steinmetz told Patch. "I had made a sign couple years back about people having respect when they drive by without sending a wake. I place it in my grass when a situation like this occurs."
