Rainbow Senior Center Hosts 'Shed The Meds' Event

From The Village of Lindenhurst: The Village of Lindenhurst, in conjunction with the Suffolk County Police Department and Lindenhurst Community Cares, sponsored a “Shed the Meds” event at the Rainbow Senior Center. The Suffolk County Police Department 1st Precinct offers a safe way for residents to properly dispose of their unused medication and covered hypodermic needles. Proper disposal is essential to protect the environment and reduce the risk of misuse.

Mayor Michael Lavorata said, “‘The Shed the Meds’ event was very successful thanks to the cooperation between Lindenhurst Community Cares, Suffolk County Police Department and the Lindenhurst Rainbow Senior Center Staff.”
