Shots Fired at Car in Deer Park

A car crashed into a median in Deer Park after shots were fired at the vehicle early Tuesday, police said.

According to police, the car was traveling on Oakland Avenue when it was shot at by an occupant or occupants of another vehicle that was driving by at about 12:10 a.m.

The vehicle that was shot at continued onto Deer Park Avenue where it struck the median, police said.

No people were shot and from the initial inspection of the vehicle, the car was not struck by any bullets, police said.

The car was impounded and detectives are speaking with the driver. The vehicle that the shooter(s) were in and the shooter/shooters are still being sought, police said.
