Students Of Rall Write Notes Of Gratitude

Second-graders at William Rall Elementary wrote friendly letters to troops to thank them for their service through Operation Gratitude.

LINDENHURST, NY - From the Lindenhurst Union Free School District: Throughout the Lindenhurst Union Free School District, students recognized Veterans Day and demonstrated their gratitude to those who served the country.

Some colored patriotic pictures and others, like the second-grade students in Dawn Rosen and Jennifer Villardi’s class at William Rall Elementary School wrote friendly letters to troops to thank them for their service through Operation Gratitude.

According to their website, Operation Gratitude is an organization responsible for sending more than 200,000 care packages to veterans, first responders, new recruits, wounded heroes and their caregivers. The student’s letters will accompany the care packages. Students of Rall also donated their Halloween Candy to the cause.
