Suffolk SPCA: Man Picked Up His Dog, Threw It to The Ground Twice
A 37-year-old man faces an animal cruelty charge.

An Amityville man is charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty after authorities say he beat his dog by picking it up over his head and forcibly throwing the dog on the ground twice.
According to the Suffolk County SPCA, two witnesses watched Shaun Morgan, 37, throw the dog to the ground on Thursday.
The dog was surrendered to the witnesses and transported to a veterinary clinic for evaluation, officials say.
