Superintendent: Students Find Bullet on Floor at Lindenhurst Middle School

A bullet was found on the floor of the boys’ locker room at Lindenhurst Middle School Friday morning, Superintendent Daniel Giordan said in a message on the district’s website.

Several students found the bullet and immediately notified Principal Frank Naccarato, Giordano said. The district then called Suffolk Police to file a report. Giordano did not specify what type of bullet was found. 

“The police have collected the bullet and have begun an investigation,” Giordano said. “In addition, district officials have searched the surrounding area, as well as all of the lockers in the boys’ locker room, and have found no other evidence. Please be assured that the continued safety and security of our students is our top priority and we will continue to communicate any important information.”
