Teen Dies After Car Hits Pole, House in West Babylon
Two others suffer serious injuries in crash Sunday night, police say.

A 17-year-old girl from Deer Park has died after the car she was riding in struck a pole and then a house Sunday night, police said.
Two other people suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries in the crash, which occurred in West Babylon at about 8:50 p.m.
According to police, 19-year-old Aramis Broadus was driving a 2010 Nissan Maxima north on Little East Neck Road near Gordon Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a telephone pole and a house located at 1152 Little East Neck Road.

Broadus, of Wheatley Heights, and the three passengers in the vehicle–Chyna Adams, 18, of Deer Park, Robert Jones, 20, of Deer Park, and Kenya Jimenez, 17, of Deer Park–were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
Jimenez succumbed to her injuries after being admitted to the hospital and was pronounced dead at 1:37 a.m., police said.

Adams and Jones are being treated for serious injuries. Broadus was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released.
A Town of Babylon fire marshal and building inspector responded to the scene and condemned the residence due to the extensive damage to the structure. No one inside the home was hurt in the crash.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. No criminal charges have been filed.
