Teen Vandals Cause $40K in Damages to Vacant Lindenhurst Grocery Store
Paint was poured on the floor and walls and fire extinguishers were sprayed throughout the store, police say.
Police are looking to identify the teenagers who caused approximately $40,000 in damages to a vacant grocery store in Lindenhurst last month.
According to authorities, four teenagers entered the former location of Waldbaum’s, located at 50 W. Hoffman Ave., and damaged glass refrigeration doors, glass countertops, windows, an entrance door and office equipment between November 26 and November 28.
Paint was also poured on the floor and walls and fire extinguishers were sprayed throughout the store, police say.

The vandals are wanted for criminal mischief.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
