I feel like I've been hoodwinked!!! My family received a form from the Town of Babylon Assessors Office several months ago. Along with a letter that said due to Hurricane Sandy damages to our home we may be eligible to have our town taxes lowered. Wow, I thought that would be wonderful under the circumstances and all that we had been through. Well guess what, I received the determination letter yesterday and my taxes went UP $250.00 dollars. What. Bunch of CROOKS!! Praying on the families that lost everything,!!! Now I'm considering taking my tax paying family out of the crooked Toen of Babylon.
