Lindy Middle School offers "Stop the Bleed" training in collaboration with Concerned Lindy Mom and Northwell Health
Every second counts in an emergency situation. The leading preventable cause of death after an injury is uncontrolled bleeding, explained a trainer from Northwell Health addressing teachers and staff at the Lindenhurst Middle School. Frank Naccarato, principal of the Lindenhurst Middle School, offered "Stop the Bleed" training for teachers, equipping them with life-saving techniques to respond quickly and effectively in the event of an injury.
Lindy parent and Northwell Health RN, Tania Dufour teamed up with Mr. Naccarato because training like this will create a safer learning environment for students. He says, "Empowering our teachers with the right tools and skill is crucial for the success of our students" he plans to continue to enhance their expertise to support teachers in delivering quality education.
