• Ortt and Bologna announce Candlelight Cabinetry transition (wnypapers.com) — Hundreds of Lockport manufacturing jobs may be saved as Candlelight Cabinetry is taken over by a new ownership group and relaunched as Candlelight Curated Inc. Local investors and partner Cuisine Idéale plan nearly $6 million in investment, aim to restore back pay and benefits, and gradually restart and expand production. Local and state officials say the deal secures an anchor employer for the community. 
• Fire destroys vacant Niagara County home (wgrz.com) — A vacant house at 5323 Lower Mountain Road in the Town of Lockport was destroyed by fire Saturday evening, but no injuries were reported. Multiple volunteer companies, including Wrights Corners, Cambria, South Lockport and others, responded and knocked down the blaze. Authorities say the structure is a total loss and are continuing to review the incident.
