• Erie Canalway announces winners of 2026 photo contest; Lockport and Buffalo images among top picks (wnymedia.net) — Lockport’s Erie Canal scenery earned top honors in the 2026 Erie Canalway photo contest, with two winning images capturing the old locks and sunrise over Lock 34. Those photos, along with other statewide winners, will appear in the 2027 Erie Canalway calendar coming out December 1, highlighting Lockport as one of the corridor’s most photogenic stops. 
• About that NORLIC money (town.news) — Lockport is one of several Niagara-Orleans communities being asked to contribute $30,000 to the regional land bank, which rehabs distressed properties and returns them to the tax rolls. Local officials are weighing what the city gets in return, as the agency seeks more predictable cash flow to keep stabilizing and marketing problem properties across the region.
