All charges against Mejias dismissed
Nassau County District Court Judge dismissed all charges against attorney and former Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias
Glen Cove, New York – Nassau County District Court Judge Douglas Lerose Monday dismissed all charges against attorney and former Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias. Mejias plead not guilty to baseless allegations filed against in him November.
“I am grateful that these outlandish charges have been dismissed,” said Mr. Mejias. “There was never any truth to the charges and as an attorney I appreciate that the legal system worked and the truth has prevailed.”
In addition to dismissing all the charges, the judge also vacated a stay-away order against Mejias on Monday.

Mr. Mejias added, “I am grateful the Judge and the Nassau County District Attorney’s office moved to dismiss all the charges and found that the accusations against me were without merit. I experienced a situation that was stunning, heartbreaking and that sadly could happen to anyone.”
