Pedestrian Struck By Vehicles In Oceanside Hospitalized In 'Critical Condition': Police

OCEANSIDE, NY — A pedestrian was struck by two vehicles and seriously hurt in Oceanside on Friday night, Nassau police said.

A 57-year-old was driving a 2024 Hyundai southbound on Lawson Boulevard, near the intersection of Anchor Avenue, when it struck a 51-year-old man just before 10 p.m., according to police.

While lying on the ground, the man was then struck by a Jeep operated by a 52-year-old man traveling northbound on
Lawson Avenue, police said.

The man was taken by a Nassau police ambulance to a local hospital where he is in critical condition, according to police.

Both vehicles remained at the scene, and no other injuries were reported, police said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
