America, It's Intervention Time

You all know how I love to stroll our beach and boards, how I love to show you with pics prose and poetry how much I love it.

But I can't ignore the rest of America, neither can you. So, I'm writing in our Long Beach Patch's Community Corner about the madness in the community of America.

You've seen it, you've seen far too much of it. Yet, we must face it, so we can change it.

Shoppers are being massacred, school kids are being slayed.

I know this is tough to read. You came to the Patch for parade news, beach fee news, lifeguard news dolphins, whales. That's all good, that's important.

But we can't bury our heads in the sand of our shore. We need to stop the menace that threatens us all. We need to stop the madness.
