American Grit

Over 800,000 American souls have been lost since Covid started.

We Americans are so tired of Covid, tired of seeing it on TV, tired of talking about it, reading about it, even here.

We hear the stats daily: cases, up, hospitalizations up, deaths, up. We see national and global maps that color the spread of cases and deaths over geographic areas, political regions. We've been data'd to death.

We see many government and medical efforts to curtail the pandemic. You know what they are. But each effort is met with resistance. What is going on? Why is America so against tactics that can bring this nasty killer down?

I think it’s something basic. Something is missing in America, something that was once the foundation of our success. Something that is now almost gone. Can we bring it back?

In one word, it’s—grit.
