<a href="https://www.longbeachartleague.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Long Beach Art League</a> and <a href="https://www.westendarts.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">West End Arts</a> of Long Beach, New York, are thrilled to present the Long Beach Fine Art Expo Ⅳ, the barrier island’s premier fine art showcase. The expo will feature hundreds of works from over 20 artists, celebrating Long Beach’s evolving arts community.&nbsp; Scheduled for May 3, 2026, from 10 AM to 6 PM, this bi-annual event is set to take place at the <a href="https://www.allegriahotelny.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Allegria Hotel</a>’s grand ballroom (80 West Broadway). Admission to the event is free and open to the public.The Long Beach Fine Art Expo will highlight a dynamic range of photography, painting, and glass art. All participating artists are based in New York State, and many are Long Beach locals. The exhibition will include paintings spanning landscapes, abstract works, still lifes, and portraiture, alongside photography in color and black and white. A colorful addition for the fourth expo will be fused glass. This spring’s show promises something for every art enthusiast.“With spring comes fresh energy, bold color, and a spark for something new. We’re excited to bring that spirit to our fourth Long Beach Fine Art Expo—an event we expect to be filled with joy and creativity. As always, the expo is designed to bring the community together to celebrate and support local artists,” said Lissette Resnick, local artist, member, and President of the Long Beach Art League.

Jazz /Standards Jam Session
We are a small, friendly group of musicians who meet every other Tuesday evening in a private home in the West End of Long Beach. We’re looking to add a few more intermediate-level players. (This is not an open jam.)
Our relaxed sessions focus on playing jazz/standards and improving improvisation skills. A tune list and lead sheets (in Concert and Bb) are provided in advance.

Long Beach Recreation Center

The Kiwanis Club of Long Beach will host its third annual Children’s Bicycle Safety Rodeo on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Long Beach Recreation Center basketball courts. With special thanks to the Kiwanis Children’s Fund and Apple Bank of Long Beach for their financial support, the event is presented in partnership with the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD), the Long Beach Recreation Center, and the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD).
Designed for elementary school-aged children, the Bicycle Safety Rodeo will provide hands-on instruction in safe bicycle handling using the nationally recognized AAA Bike Rodeo program as a guide. Participants will navigate a supervised skills course while learning essential safety techniques.
Helmets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with LBFD personnel assisting children to ensure proper fit. Local bicycle mechanics such as Long Beach Bicycles and West End Bike Shop will be available to inspect and tune bikes, and the LBPD will offer on-site bicycle registration to help prevent theft or assist in recovery. Children will also enjoy bike and helmet decorating, refreshments, and the opportunity to enter raffles to win one of four brand-new bicycles and other bike safety kits.
