Long Beach Boardwalk

The City of Long Beach has announced that its annual fireworks display will take place Friday, July 10, 2026, beginning at sundown. The fireworks will be visible from anywhere along the boardwalk and beachfront. 
The city has advised that lane closures and heavy traffic can be expected the night of the fireworks show, especially in the area near Broadway and Long&nbsp;Beach&nbsp;Boulevard. Additionally, the city has said there is no glass or alcohol permitted on Ocean Beach Park, and that bags and coolers are subject to searches. The rain date for the fireworks is July 11.

Are you feeling anxious, depressed, or helpless? Stressed out or overwhelmed by your life circumstances or the suffering in the world? Are you looking for a non-judgmental space to just be yourself, to express whatever’s on your heart?
We’re social beings and need to have an outlet for being seen, heard, and understood. This rings true now more than ever. This gathering will provide a safe and sacred space that is free of judgement for slowing down and showing up exactly as you are, to receive and offer support in community. It blends our ancestral need for communing in circle with meditation, movement, reflection, and creativity.
Participants should bring something to sit or lay on (a yoga mat, blanket), something to write with (pens, pencils, markers), and something to write on (journal, pad, notebook). You may also want to bring prose, poetry, song, etc. to share, and any sacred objects that resonate with your healing journey.
All are welcome. No experience is needed. Only an open heart and mind.

About the Host: Paula Lane (she/her) is the founder of Awaken Your Dance LLC, as well as a certified meditation teacher and spiritual life coach with over a decade of experience as a facilitator. She offers classes, workshops, and 1:1 coaching to help students and clients connect with their intuition through music, meditation, movement, reflection, and creativity. 
Paula has deep lived experience with overcoming trauma and building resilience through spiritual and emotional healing. She is a published author and poet. Paula discovered that writing could be used as a vehicle to foster healing in herself and others. Her latest book, It Hurts to Become: How Tapping into Intuition Transformed My Life, contains prose and poems telling her story of how connecting with intuitive wisdom helped guide her in processing repressed emotions and becoming free from them, resulting in profound healing. Paula has authored several other non-fiction stories about her struggles with the goal of empowering others. Her poems have been published in a local anthology and magazine.
