LONG BEACH, NY — Advocates will try again to get the ears of the Long Beach City Council about opting in for cannabis dispensaries.

Beryl Solomon, a Long Beach resident, is the founder of Poplar and a cannabis advocate.

She will be supported by other members of the community at the Tuesday night hearing, to explain why the city needs a legal cannabis dispensary.

The cannabis issue is not officially on the agenda, a spokesperson for the city said.

Solomon is expected to speak at the end of the session.
