Celebrate International Surf Day In Long Beach

This Saturday, there will be a beach cleanup, a paddle out and free surf lessons for everyone.

This Saturday, June 15, come down to the shore and celebrate International Surf Day in Long Beach with free surf lessons and a whole lot more.

There are a full day of activities planned at the beach, and you can be a part of it. International Surf Day celebrates the sport of surfing and the beaches that make it possible.

The day starts at 8:30 a.m. with a beach cleanup.

From 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., there will be free surf lessons every half hour. So if you've always wanted to learn how to surf, now's your chance.

Finally, at 3:30 p.m., there's the WSL PURE Paddle Out, where dozens of surfers will all take to the water together.

All of the events are free. The fun will take place on the beach between Long Beach Boulevard and Riverside Boulevard. While all of the events are free, beach passes are not included.
