City Of Long Beach: Irish Day Parade And Festival
The Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 17 will hold the 32nd Annual Irish Heritage Parade and Festival on Saturday October 2, 2021.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 17 will hold the 32nd Annual Irish Heritage Parade and Festival on Saturday October 2, 2021. The parade steps off from Washington Boulevard and West Park Avenue at 11:00am and proceeds to Beech Street in the West End. This year the AOH will be honoring the 20th Anniversary of September 11 and saluting the essential workers. The festival includes street vendors and food trucks. There will not be rides this year.

Working together with the Ancient Order of Hibernians, restaurant and bar owners, and the Long Beach Police Department to create a festive, yet safe environment, the City Council and City Manager would like to inform you of some important information pertaining the event:
- The event will take place rain or shine.
- There will be NO parking on West Beech Street, between New York Avenue and Connecticut Avenue from 6:00am and until 7:00pm on Saturday.
- Cars not removed will be towed at the owner’s expense.
- West Beech Street will close to traffic at 7:00am.
- The parade will begin at 11:00am at Washington Boulevard and West Park Avenue.
- The Festival will end at 4:00pm. Beech Street will be cleared and open by 5:00pm.
- There will be FREE parking for event goers at the LIRR Parking Garage.
- The West End Bus will run on West Park Avenue on a continuous loop during the festival.
- Shuttle buses will be running all day between the LIRR Parking Garage and the festival.
- All City Buses will be FREE to passengers on Saturday only.
- Face masks must be worn at all times on public transportation.
- The planters on Oceanview will be moved for the day so that local traffic and emergency vehicles may flow through.
- The Virginia Avenue parking lots will be closed Friday night through Saturday night.
- The safety of our residents, visitors, and City staff is our number one priority. We encourage all spectators to wear a mask, especially when social distancing is not possible.
- Please report any problems to the Police Department, by calling 516- 431-1800.
As we all take part in this celebration of Irish heritage, we ask all residents and visitors to abide by the rules and act in a safe manner so everyone can enjoy the festivities.
