LONG BEACH, NY — After putting on dozens of local productions in Port Washington, Kyle Savage moved his Shining Studios to Long Beach.

His non-profit is holding its first show in Long Beach next month. It was delayed since last summer.

The performances of "13: The Musical" feature middle school and high school students from Long Beach and surrounding communities.

Shows will take place Aug. 12-14 at St. Mary of the Isle Roman Catholic Church. Savage said they are asking all attendees to bring non-perishable food pantry items for the church.

"If we can feed as many families in need as possible, while also entertaining the community, we have done our job," he said.
