Cops: 2 Woodmere Women Robbed by Same Man
Same man responsible for robbing two Woodmere women as they pulled into their driveways, police said.

Two Woodmere women who were robbed in their driveways were victimized by the same man, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives released a surveillance photo of the car used by the man who is believed to have robbed two senior citizens after they arrived home in broad daylight.

On Aug. 22 at 2:12 p.m., the man approached a 69-year-old woman in the driveway of her Forest Avenue home and put her in a chokehold, cops said. On Sept. 2 at 2:14 p.m., the man approached a 74-year-old woman in her Longacre Avenue garage, placed his hand over her mouth, and demanded jewelry, police said.

In both instances, the victims had just arrived home and had pulled into a driveway or garage, police said.
A gold Tiffany-style pear-shaped ring, a Celtic weave bracelet, a wedding ring, and a diamond ring were reported stolen in the two robberies.
The car the subject used is believed to be a gray four-door Toyota Corolla, has an antenna on the roof and a spoiler on the trunk.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about these robberies to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
