Last month I wrote an article on how Heroin, methamphetamines, crack, cocaine, LSD, ecstasy, and marijuana are being sold on the internet and delivered to your house by US mail. There is also a search engine tool for hackers called "Shodan". Shodan searches the internet looking for devices to hack. Shodan has found baby monitors, cars, fetal heart monitors, WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES, POWER PLANT CONTROLS, traffic lights, glucose meters, which are sitting ducks for hackers. Hackers can easily hack into webcams of people's homes, security offices, hospital operating rooms, child care centers, and drug dealer operations. Hackers can control security, lights, heating, & cooling systems of banks, apartment buildings, and convention centers. Four simple default passwords can give a hacker access to hundreds of thousands of consumers as well as tens of thousands of industrial devices all over the world. (Forbes, Sept. 2013, p. 54)
