Last night it appeared that Long Beach School Superintendent David Weiss had heard teachers' complaints about his lack of timely weather-related notifications when he announced a delayed opening for this morning. In that message he promised that an announcement with regard to school closing would be made by 6AM. Unfortunately for reasons unknown the call was not made until 7AM. By then several teachers had already started the arduous journey to work and in at least two cases had already arrived. His lack of due diligence put teachers in harm's way and was an epic fail.
