Firefighters Get Their Boots Filled
Hold annual street corner fundraising campaign to fight muscular dystrophy.
The Long Beach Fire Department Local 287 was out getting their boots filled last weekend.
Firefighters hit the city streets with their fire boots in hand, collecting funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) from motorists stopped at traffic lights at busy Long Beach Boulevard/East Park Avenue intersection.
All the proceeds from this Fill-The-Boot campaign will go towards MDA’s services, research programs, and support groups that benefit local individuals and families affected by muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular disease.
