A diagnosis of a medical illness or cancer can often leave you feeling scared, depressed, anxious, or isolated. Finding a therapist who can help you cope is an important process in healing. I am a Clinical Oncology Social Worker and psychotherapist whose practice focuses solely on counseling for women with breast and female cancers on Long Island. (Other cancers include: ovarian, endometrial, uterine, vaginal, vulvar, colorectal, pancreatic, and kidney.)

I strongly believe that counseling can help you cope through treatment and into life after cancer. I am also one of very few therapists on Long Island who specializes in counseling for women with cancer and have been doing this work since 2009.

My treatment approach is to help you alleviate many of the common issues and stresses that come up during and post treatment. All of this is done in a safe, nurturing, and confidential space.

In addition to cancer patients, my practice also includes counseling for those who are affected by a loved one’s diagnosis. It is not uncommon for spouses, parents, or adult children to utilize me for support as well.
