Frigid Cold Delays Long Beach Race By Day
The Snowflake four-mile run is getting postponed until Sunday morning.
LONG BEACH, NY — Extreme cold in the forecast for Saturday is causing the postponement of the Snowflake Race.
The four-mile run has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 5 out of an "abundance of caution for our participants and staff."
The city of Long Beach is looking to provide race credits for those who can not participate on Sunday.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. at Long Beach Catholic Regional School. The race begins at 9 a.m.
Day-of-registration fee is $40.
