Gas Prices Drop Again; Average Across LI At $4.25
Several Long Island stations are charging below $4.00 per gallon.
LONG ISLAND, NY — Prices at the pump have not yet plateaued, as the average cost per gallon dropped further in the past week.
Across the state, regular gasoline is down to $4.47, a savings of five cents from the previous week.
On Long Island, the average price is $4.25 per gallon, down seven more cents from last week, according to AAA.

As the prices keep falling, drivers are finding more sub-$4.00 options, according to GasBuddy.com.
In Nassau County, the lowest price is at Conoco in Hicksville: $3.91

- It's $3.93 per gallon at Mobil in Farmingdale and BJ's Wholesale Club in Freeport.
- There are several gas stations at $3.95, including Amoco in Farmingdale, BP in Seaford, Evergreen in Seaford.
In Suffolk County:
- The lowest on the island ($3.87) is at USA in West Islip
- Montauk Native Gasoline in Mastic is charging $3.89
- It's $3.91 per gallon at Metro Fuel in North Lindenhurst and USA Petroleum in East Islip.
- A handful of stations have gas at $3.93, including Mobil in North Lindenhurst, Mobil in Copiague and Exxon in West Islip.
