Hempstead Town Holding Drive-In Holiday Movie Screenings
Families can come together to watch classics like Elf, The Grinch and more in the safety of their cars.

POINT LOOKOUT, NY — To help celebrate the holidays in the new 2020 fashion, the Town of Hempstead is offering free drive-in movies for residents this month. The films, all holiday and winter classics, will be shown on a screen in the parking lot of the Town Park at Point Lookout.
“The Town of Hempstead was among the first municipalities to put together safe and socially distanced drive-in movies and concerts during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are excited to continue that tradition with our Winter Movie Festival this holiday season,” said Town Supervisor Don Clavin. “While many festive events have been scaled back or cancelled across our township in the interest of public safety, these free town movies are a great way to get in the holiday spirit with your family while keeping them safe and healthy.”
All movies will be held at Town Park Point Lookout (1300 Lido Blvd., Point Lookout), and are open to Town of Hempstead residents only on a first-come, first-served basis. The schedule of movies is:
