Home Health Aide Used Her Elderly Client's Credit Cards: Police
Police say the aide stole the 93-year-old's credit cards to make personal purchases around Nassau County.

A home health aide was arrested on Sunday after police said it was discovered she was using her elderly client's credit cards for purchases.
Indira Harricharran, 47, of West Hundson Street, Queens Village, worked as a home health aide to a 93-year-old Island Park man. Police said that, on multiple occasions, Harricharran took multiple credit cards from her client and used them to make purchases at locations throughout Nassau County while posing as a joint account holder. Police say the purchases occurred in September and October of this year.
Harricharran was arrested at her home in Queens without incident. She is charged with third-degree grand larceny, first-degree identity theft, five counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree identity theft and three counts of third-degree unlawful possession of personal identification information. She was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
