ICYMI: Long Beach Historical Society In 'Dire Straits' To Raise Money

The museum, unable to hold its main annual fundraiser for the past three years, is desperately seeking donations from the public.

LONG BEACH, NY — For more than four decades, the Long Beach Historical Society has been showcasing the city adjacent to the Atlantic from its earliest days.

But since the COVID-19 pandemic, typical fundraising has been missing and the organization is scrambling to stay afloat.

"We're in dire straits now," museum co-president Jeanne Browne told "Patch AM" last week.
