Kiwanis Club To Host Food Drive This Weekend

Residents can drop off items on Sunday at Long Beach City Hall.

LONG BEACH, NY — The city of Long Beach is giving back to the community. On Sun., Nov. 14, residents can drop off non-perishable items and toiletries at a Drive & Drop Food Drive.

The Kiwanis Club of Long Beach is hosting the charity event and items can be dropped off in front of City Hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Donations will support local food banks and their soup kitchen, the city of Long Beach posted on its website.

  • Canned tuna/chicken
  • Stuffing
  • Rice
  • Chicken/beef broth
  • Oatmeal
  • Granola bars
  • Bags of cookies
  • Cans of mushroom soup
  • Ramen noodles
  • Small cooking oil
  • Individual juice boxes
  • Toothpaste/toothbrushes
  • Deodorant
  • Bars of soap
